How to Maintain BURGUNDY Hair!!

Hellloo Goorgggiess!!

Burgundy hair has become one of the biggest hair trends this Fall.  Pretty much anywhere you look, you are bound to see a girl with burgundy color hair! There is nothing wrong with that!! I myself love the hair color! The only down side of any type of red shade.. Is it fades the fastest out of all hair dyes.  But of course if you are dedicated in the keep up then it will all work out just fine!

I myself had to find ways to make the hair color last and it isn't easy, but well worth it! I will tell you some of the tips and tricks I do to keep my hair color as vibrant and possible!

SHAMPOO & CONDITIONER/ HAIR WASHING

I use the Quantum Brand Shampoo and Conditioner and its in Riveting Reds! I use a bout a quarter size of each.
The first thing I want to note is I wash my hair in cold water. Well it isn't waaaay cold but I get it cold enough to where there is no warmth in the water.  Colder water helps keep the color from bleeding out when washing your hair.  Keep that in mind!!
After I rinse my hair I put the shampoo in and lather it in, then I wait a couple minutes.  If I have gone close to a week without washing my hair I will rinse my hair and then add another quarter size amount of shampoo in it. (Just to make sure it's clean)
Once the shampoo has been sitting there for another couple minutes, I will add in the conditioner, (WITHOUT washing the shampoo out.) I don't wash the shampoo out and just add the conditioner.  I don't rinse the shampoo out this time because it cuts back time and I just hate rinsing my hair out since that jeopardizes the hair color. After I leave the conditioner in for a couple minutes, than I will rinse my whole head.

Hair Care PRODUCTS

After I am done washing it, I brush it out and I put a leave in conditioner spray that protects from UV Rays from the brand No. 4
As for hair oils, I switch up between Nume Argan oil to Suave Professionals Moroccan oil. I only run the oils into the tips of my hair,  just to put some moisture and hydration back into my hair.

DRY SHAMPOO

Dry shampoo is going to be your best friend if you have red hair.  It just helps you lock any oils from your roots so your hair doesn't get too greasy and usually you can go another day or two without washing it! I love dry shampoo not only for this reason but I use it to help give my hair volume and it helps holding a curl soo much better since curls tend to just fall out with my hair.

HOW I STYLE MY HAIR DURING THE WEEK

You may think this is a bit weird and wondering why I am telling you how I style my hair, but it's the truth… My hair styles have helped my maintain my hair color!  Only because it helps me from having to wash it.  Since I have had this color hair I have tried everything in my power to not wash it if I didn't need to! I usually wash my hair once maybe twice a week! And that has helped my hair tremendously!! and with the different hair styles I wear, it helps me in the long run cus it doesn't make me have to wash it right away!
1-2 Day: Usually the first and second day I leave my hair down and straight. (My hair is naturally straight) I don't put any products in my hair just let it do its own thing and be able to breath for those couple days.
3-4 Day: This is when I typically put the dry shampoo in my hair. Since the dry shampoo is in my hair it helps with my curls so I will end up curling my hair and wearing it down.
5-7 Day: This is where I wear my hair up in a messy bun for the most part. My hair is too the point where its not going to look good down and its time to just wear it up. Which I do like doing. (I love changing up my hair styles) I can go Day 5 and 6 with it up.. and usually 7 but sometimes on the 7th day I end up washing it.

There you have it!! That is how I maintain my hair to keep it this color! If you are interested in watching the actual video on how I maintain I will link it below! :)

October FAVES!! | 2013

Helloooo gorrgggiess!!
I am sharing my October Favorites with you today!! I didn't really have much favorites since I was busy trying to get Halloween tutorials up and on the channel.  So when it came to makeup and beauty products I didn't really get to try new things out.  But I do have a few things that I didn't go without this month!! Care to see what they are?! :)

The first thing I needed to share is this awesome skeleton hand ring! I was loving it this month!! How cute and appropriate is it for this month! I got it at the Spirits Halloween Store!

If you haven't noticed already, I kind of have an obsession over skeletons, skulls, etc. What better thing to add to my collection then these two badass skeleton hang hair clips to pull your hair back! I have been eyeing hair clips like these for a while and finally bought some for myself!!

I also had to get one in white with red blood splatters on it! This one shows well in my hair! Love it! I usually wear them to pin my hair back out of my face, or if I am wearing a messy bun I will clip the hand on the bun. :) Love love love! I will also be wearing this all year around lol. Not just for the Halloween season.

How adorable is this Hello kitty phone case!!! I love it! I bought it at Forever 21! It is super durable and thick, I just feel like my phone is nice and safe in it.  Since I do have a 20 month old, she loves to take my phone and throw it.. So this definitely helps my phone! Haha!

I bought this generic brand Equate Beauty Astringent.  It is to be compared to the SeaBreeze brand Astringent (which I have also tried in the past) And this has been an amazing product! I can feel it working on my skin and it cleans the rest of the dirt out of my pores after I have already removed the makeup and washed my face! Not to mention, I have noticed that the little blemishes I have here and there have disappeared now that I have been using this product!

I used these exfoliating cotton rounds from the brand Swisspers to clean my face.  I love the fact that there is exfoliating beads on the cotton pads!!

Closer shot of the exfoliating beads!

This has been a favorite pressed powder in the passed, and I have recently rediscovered it! It is the Rimmel Stay Matte press powder and it does it job! I have hit pan on this product! That should show you how amazing this product is! I love it! :)

I have noticed I used the Loreal Magic Nude Liquid Powder a lot this month! I didn't think I was going to like it at first since I did do a first impression of it (which is on my channel) But now that the weather has cooled down and I have used a face primer, setting powder and setting spray. I have found that I absolutely LOVE this product! I have played with it a lot this month and it has been a staple this month!  I have found myself grabbing this foundation a lot lately. If you are looking for a light coverage foundation, I suggest give this a try!!

Okay, so this is pretty much a crappy still, but the camera wouldn't focus on the brush. This eyebrow brush has been a favorite since I got it! I got it from the website Hautelook, and featured it in the Hautelook Haul I recently did and have loved it since I got it!! I got it for a great deal! It is a Crown Brush, and it came in a set of 12 other brushes! I was amazed at how an eyebrow brush works so amazingly and different from other brow brushes I have tried in the past! I will not go back to any other eye brow brush, as long as I have this one!!

I have been loving this Essence cover stick lately! I use this concealer mainly to clean up my eyebrows! The consistency of the concealer is perfect for this!

I love using eyeshadow primers before I apply eyeshadows.  I can't go without it. I have had this primer for a while now, but recently started using it and have been loving it! It keeps the shadows extremely vibrant and long lasting on the eyes! I suggest this if you are looking for a eye shadow primer!! You can find this on the bhcosmetics website!!

I am sure everyone and their mom has this palette, but I just had to include the palette in my favorites this month since I just recently got it about a month and a half ago or so and was able to play with it a bit! I love Urband Decay shadows and I absolutely love my Naked palette so I knew Naked 2 was going to be in the same category!

I got this Chapstick brand Chapstick in my Birchbox for the month of October and been using it since I got it! The product has kept my lips moisturized and it has been great as a lip base for lipsticks!

I have got to mention this lip product, it is from the medicated line and it is Maybelline Babylips Dr Rescue.  It is a medicated formula in it which helps dried, cracked lips! My lips have been chapped and this has been one of my go to! Not to mention I got this in the Plum color so it has been a perfect Fall lippie!

I have also been using the NYX Butter Gloss in Eclair when I have been leaning towards more of a gloss type finish! This is the perfect baby lip color!

I had to include these Jordanna Lipstains as my favorites this month! They have been perfect Fall lip pies as well! You would think since they are stains the would leave your lips dry, but surprisingly it doesn't.  They actually leave my lips moisturized once it's applied. Out of the two, if I had to choose a fave I would have to go with Terra Crave. I noticed that I have been using this lip stain more then the other which is honey love. But I still love both colors!!

And as my last favorite, it is a body mist.  This is a Victoria Secret body mist in the Dream Angels line called "Glow" I love the scent and it has been my go to this month.

Well that concludes my favorites for the month! If you want to see the video I will link the video below for you to check out of course!

October Birchbox & Ipsy Unboxings!

Helloooo gorrgggiess!!

I have finally found the time to post on my blog about these two unboxings.  I was thinking about not doing the blog post, but I feel as if it wouldn't be fair and I just needed to share through my blog as well!! It's not the usual unboxing blog post but atleast it is up!  I will not have any pictures of the products individually but I am going to post the videos, since it will be quicker to do and a lot easier to deal with since I am already late in the game!

I have been running behind on a few things because I had a friend and her son come out to visit my family and I.  So of course I wanted to make her stay worthwhile, and just had to spread my time thin. I didn't even make my last halloween tutorial since it was just waaaay to late. But it's ok!  There is always next year!!  Now that my girlfriend and her son left, I am able to get back on track and try to do some catching up on my blog of course.  Which is much needed!! Thats for sure!

I was super excited to get both my Ipsy and Birchbox for the month of October.  I love getting them every month but still.. LOLOL. I have to say it was hard to choose which beauty subscription I preferred this month. But if you are interested in knowing...Than you must watch the vids!!  :)

I did the videos separately since I got my Birchbox first, and I didn't want to wait for my Ipsy.  Which I might as well should have waited because I got it in the mail a lot sooner than I thought!

Shotgun Wound | Dead Girl | Halloween Tutorial!

Helloooo gooorggggies!!

So it is already November, and I am still posting Halloween tutorials. This might be a bit much, but I wanted to squeeze this into my blog before I moved on from Halloween.  Only because it ended as fast as it came, and of course this can be a tutorial for next year if you decide to do it!  So you will be ready for next Halloween instead of picking and choosing and having to do some last minute preparations! Or am I the only one that does this? HAHA.

This Halloween tutorial is based on a dead girl look, that got shot in the face... That is exactly why the character is missing her other eye.  I love doing gory tutorials.  I like the creepy aspect of it all.  I mean c'mon?! Isn't that what the holiday is all about???

Until next year's Halloween tutorials I am leaving you with this video to get this look!
I hope you enjoy!!!

Halloween Tutorial: Mardi Gras Mask!!

Hello goorrrgggiesss!!
I have a Mardi Gras inspired mask/halloween tutorial to share with you Today!  I love the gold and the simplicity of this look.  Yet, it looks flashy!  I also am doing my first collaboration in this video!  I am doing the collab with a fellow YouTuber, and she is also creating a Mardi Gras look!  So, we have two options for you if you aren't quite sure what you want to do exactly. :) Options are always great, right?

I was going to write out the steps of this tutorial, but it seems like it would be ridiculously too long to go through all the steps.  And it's not as complicated if you just want to watch it.  You can also get the full on details on how I created the look too!  I have a couple other halloween tutorials I am doing for the season and I am just thinking about doing the same to all of them when I write them on my blog, just so it's not too time consuming. I am sure the amount of time it takes you to read the post you would have been already done watching the video. HAHA.

Sooo, it you are interested in recreating this look then I will post the link to the video below! :)

OOTD: Skull Dress & Up do!!

Hellooo goorgggiesss!!

I recently uploaded an outfit of the day on my channel, and of course I had to share on my blog!  I have been getting a lot of request to do more, so I am working on it!  I love skulls and have a lot of skulls in my wardrobe!  So of course I am sharing a skull piece with you!

Today's outfit is a Skull Dress that I paired it with a cardigan and black sandals!  I love how the outfit turned out.  I do have a couple things I want to show you that are staples of this outfit! (like the dress wasn't enough of a statement.) - Sarcasm of course.

The hair, I just put up in an up do! I love how it turned out! I actually have a tutorial on this in my Mardi Gras inspired halloween tutorial.  If you are interested in trying to recreate the up do, definitely don't hesitate to check that out on my youtube channel teaseblendglam  :)

The ring is another favorite that just ties the whole outfit together!! I am completely obsessed with skulls and skeletons, so when I saw this I knew it was going to be mine. I LOVE IT!! :)

I will link the OOTD video below so you can actually see the whole look, including the makeup! :)

September FAVESS!

Hello gooorgggies!!
I have had my September favorites video uploaded to my channel for a little over a week or so, and now I am finally getting the time out to write this post on my blog... Yes, on the 10 of October. LOL. Before you know it, it's going to be that time of the month again to be going over favorites!! These months seem to just fly on by!

In case you are wondering why I have been late on this post, it's honestly because I have been busy getting other video ideas together.  You know, since Halloween is right around the corner, I have been getting a few good ideas on some Halloween tutorials.  Which, by the way I am super excited about!  I have soo many ideas but soo little time to do all of them.  But I guess we will all see which ones I do end up doing! :)  I actually have a Halloween tutorial up by the way, the first of the season. But that's a totally different blog post, (which I do plan on doing asap!) HAHA.  I swear, I am a professional procrastinator!

Speaking of procrastination, I should probably stop rambling.  Lets get right into this months favorites!!

HAIR PRODUCTS:
My first fave is this brand Klorane and it's a dry shampoo.
I got this dry shampoo in my Birchbox, and have been using it and loving it!

hair color last a lot longer. LOVE!

EYE PRODUCTS:
Garnier Dark Circle Eye Roller
Amazing product for dark circles for the under eye!

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer & Highlighter
Love this product soo much I pretty much ran out of the product
before the month was even over! I used it over the dark spot roller to brighten
my eyes, and it's amazing for highlighting!

Jordana 12 HR Made to Last Shadow Stick
These are amazing shadow sticks! They don't smudge!
I have these sticks in "Continuous Almond" & "Prolong Purple"

BH Cosmetics Eyeshadow and Blush Palette

Here are the shadows and blushes in the palette! These are
amazing fall colors! Love the blushes, as you can use them to
compliment any neutral eye look.

 Jordana FabuBrow Eye Pencil
This pencil is in dark brown, great for brows and I bought this during the summer
and recently started using it again since I used up my Chella brow pencil.

FACE PRODUCTS:
 Blush & Highlighter duo
I don't know the brand, or what shade this duo is in,
I got this in Japan and cannot translate the kanji. But I rediscovered this
in my makeup drawer and have been addicted to the duo all month!

 NYX Matte Finish Fini Mat
Love this setting spray! It does leave a matte finish
on to your face. (duh) Amazing product!

LIP PRODUCT:
ELF Lip balm, SPF 15
This is perfect if you don't want to wear lipstick.
This balm is in the shade "Nude"
Very hydrating and it does leave a mint feeling!

 NAILS:
Revlon Base Coat
I have noticed when I use this base coat, it works
well as a base coat! I can go as long as over a week with no chips!

Fing'rs Heart 2 Art Nail Polish
This chunky gold glitter is in "Gold Fingers"
Amazing for a topcoat, and I just love the chunky look
of the glitter!

Those are my favorites for the month of September!  I enjoyed all of these products for the month and continue to enjoy them! Hopefully I have influenced you to try out some of these products if you haven't already tried them!

I go into details about each product a bit more in my video, so if you want to know some extra things about a certain product, check out the video!  I might be able to help you that way! I will link the video down below! :)

Hautelook HAUL!! | NYX & Crown Brush!

Helloo goorgggies!!

I purchased a few things from the website Hautelook and got some pretty amazing deals!!  If by chance you are not familiar with Hautelook, it is a website that Nordstrom owns and they sell retail items such as, mens, womens, and children clothing, home goods, shoes, makeup and plenty more!  They host events on certain brands every day and they only last a certain amount of time so you got to get the amazing deal while it lasts!!  Things also tend to sell out super quick when there is a deal that you can't pass up.  So always keep an eye out if you are looking for a certain something!!

I bought things from two different events on the website.  NYX had a pretty good sale going, and I purchased three blushes for about $9!  Which is a steal!! I also got a pack of five NYX Lip glosses and they called the pack "The IT List". I believe I only paid $12 for that pack.  I absolutely love NYX cosmetics and am super happy I got some pretty amazing deals!

I also got a set of Crown brushes.  I always hear great things about the brushes, so I was really excited to see that they were on the website.  They weren't just on any regular sale, they had a Spring Blow Out sale on them. (I believe that is what they called it, haha.) I got soo many things with the make up brushes, which included: an eyeshadow palette, sponges, kabuki brushes, eye liner, and a make up bag!  You want to hear how much this all cost.  Prepared to be amazed! I got all of these Crown Brush products for TEN BUCKS!!!  How much of an amazing deal is that!  My jaw legit dropped when I saw the price for all the items, I even did a double take to make sure it was real life! It was my lucky day because it all wasn't a dream. LOL. I have seen Crown Brush host events on Hautelook in the past but I have never seen them cost that affordable, so you know I didn't even have to think twice about buying them.  Not to mention, I do have a huge make up brush obsession.  I love trying out different brands and just having a ridiculous collection, of course.

I love finding awesome deals on Hautelook.  Especially with the holidays nearing, there is honestly something for everyone on that site!  I hate checking out the site everyday, because I know it will get me into trouble. HAHA!  But what can you do if you're a lady that loves some retail therapy!

If you want to check out the video of my haul, I will gladly link it below!! :)

Fall inspired eye look tutorial!!

Helloo gorrgggiess!!
I have a Fall inspired eye make up look for you!!!  It's a tutorial, they are super easy steps to follow.  Anyone can recreate this look with similar colors if you don't have the exact ones!  That's the fun thing about make up though, it doesn't have to be exactly the same products to reach the same if not similar look! I love experimenting and this is why I love creating make up tutorials! :)

Here is just a quick look overview of the steps I did to create this eye look!!

Lets just get started!! I am really excited about this tutorial!  In this post, I pretty much go into full detail as I did in the video I posted on my YouTube channel!  So here is the step-by-step!!

Smashbox Photo Finish Lid Primer

Apply the eye primer on the lid and bottom lash line.

 NYX in Beauty Queen

With my Real Techniques shadow brush I am applying the NYX
shadow on my lids.

Wet N Wild Palette in A Great Glistener

Using my ELF crease brush I am using the brown
from the Wet N Wild palette and blending that into
my crease and also bringing that above the crease as well.

Using my Eco Tools blending brush, with no eyeshadow
on the brush I am just blending out any harsh lines.

BH Cosmetics 26 color neutral palette

I am taking the maroon shimmery color from the BH Cosmetics
palette and just sweeping that onto my eyelid.

Taking the ELF crease brush and just blending the colors from the lid
into my crease.

NYX in Earthy Shimmer

Taking my Eco Tools angle brush I am taking the NYX
shadow and highlighting my brown bone.

Also making sure I get the inner corners of my eyes as well.

Going back to the Wet N Wild palette

With the Real Techniques smudge brush I am
smoking out the bottom lash line.

 Jordana Fabuliner

Lining my lids and creating a slight winged look.

Using NYC Lash curler

 Pixi Lash Booster Mascara,
I applied one coat on my top lashes.

 Maybelline Falsies Mascara
I applied this on my lower lashes.

 Jordana Best Volume Extreme,
I applied another coat of mascara on my top lashes.

 Milani Liquid Eye, Black Eyeliner

Tight lining both the upper water line and lower water line.

 Applying false lashes

 NYX in Saturn

Final make up look with this perfect color lippie for the Fall!!

If you're not a big fan of darker color lip shades,
I have also incorporated a nude lip.

MAC Amplified in Half n Half

Here is the Finished make up look with the nude lippie!!

There you have it!!  Love this make up look, and can definitely see myself using this look again for numerous occasions! I hope you enjoyed! If you have any questions, just ask!!
Of course, I will also link the video to this tutorial below!  You have to go check it out!!  I am super pleased with the whole outcome of the video.  I believe it is seriously one of my best yet!! :)
